Question Answer
What photo sites do you use to store your photos at? What do you like and dislike about the sites? Why did you choose that site or sites?
view all answers to this question
I use Snapfish to store my photos. I like it because I can edit the photos and share them easily. The prices are reasonable, and I am very pleased with the quality. Sometimes it does seem to take a while to get the pictures. A family member recommended the site to me.
How many photos do you upload a month?
view all answers to this question
I don't actually load my photos on a regular basis. So some months it's zero, but sometimes I upload 40-60 at a time.
How often do you order photos online? How many photos did you get in your last order?
view all answers to this question
I order them as needed normally by album. So I might order my summer pictures all in one order, etc. So usually it's a large number like 40-60. My last order was only 6 picture, becasue I had them sent to a family member.
What kind of camera or cameras do you have?
view all answers to this question
I have a Kodak EasyShare camera CX7430 4.0 megapixels.
If you store your photos at an online site, do you store all of them there?
view all answers to this question
Yes, I do store all of my photos at Snapfish.
How do you backup your photos? Have you ever lost any photos because of a computer crash, or because you lost your camera?
view all answers to this question
I do backup my pictures to a certain extent. I store them on Snapfish and then also on my computer. Yes, I have lost pictures due to a computer crash.
How much do you spend on photography in a year?
view all answers to this question
I really have no idea, but I would guess probably $200 a year including the amount spent at Snapfish and the amount I use to buy printer ink when I print at home.
Do you have any old photos that you would like restored? Have you ever had pictures restored before? If not, why not?
view all answers to this question
No, I don't have any photos I would restored. My parents have all of the older pictures and take care of those things.

Question Answer
Is the purpose of the site clear? What would you say the purpose of the site is?
view all answers to this question
Yes it's clear. It's for photo storage and printing. You can also share your pictures and order photo gifts.
What did you like and dislike about the site? Please be specific.
view all answers to this question
I like that it seems very easy to navigate. The pages aren't too busy. The prices seem very reasonable. Although I definitely would like to see the calendar and photo gifts prices. I like that there is no compression on the storage.
Is there anything that should be added to the site? Anything that isn't needed?
view all answers to this question
I cannot think of anything that isn't needed. The only thing that needs to be added is the prices for the photo gifts.
What about the site did you find the most confusing? How would you make it clearer?
view all answers to this question
I really didn't find anything confusing. Each time I clicked a link, the information I expected came up. The site is very clear and easy to use.
Would you use the website's service or buy its product(s)? Why or why not?
view all answers to this question
I might try the site, although I am already happy with Snapfish and might not change. I already have all of my pictures on Snapfish, so I'm not sure I would change. I'm also not sure about the finish.
Did you notice anything about the print quality offered vs. other sites? If so, what did you notice?
view all answers to this question
It stated there was a unique, pearly finish. I'm not sure what that is, and I'm not sure whether or not I would like it.
What do you think the differences are between this site and other photo sites?
view all answers to this question
I'm not sure of what the differences are other than the layout. It does look like the albums might be labeled differently than other sites I have used. I also didn't see any pricing for "sets" of pictures (ie 8x10, 2-5x7s and 8 wallets, etc).
Did you look at the 'prints and gifts' section of the site? If yes, would you consider buying any of the products?
view all answers to this question
Yes, I would consider purchasing gifts. It seems to be under construction as it says "coming soon."
Did you understand what the 'photo scanning' product was? Would you purchase it?
view all answers to this question
Yes I think I understood it. I think I get a box and send my pictures away to be scanned and receive a proof sheet of types and then the ability to order. I don't think I would have a need for it; therefore, I would not purchase it.

Question Answer
Is the purpose of the site clear? What would you say the purpose of the site is?
view all answers to this question
From just looking at the main index page I get a good sense that this site is focused on photo storage, printing, and sharing. I dug a little deeper by going to the Features link and found out there is more than meets the eye...meaning I can get photography tips as well as get help on how to make different types of crafts. So is the purpose of the site clear? Yes. The purpose of the site is to be the one stop online shop for everything to do with photography primarily aimed at the average person with a digital camera.
What did you like and dislike about the site? Please be specific.
view all answers to this question
I really like the clean and simple layout of the site. I find it very crisp and fresh and not bogged down with ads and crazy fonts. I also like the fact that the main menu choices aren't overwhelming (fewer is better in my opinion.) I dislike how I can't tell that you offer photography advice by looking at the main index page (ok I just saw the teeny tiny link on the very bottom of your stie that says photo tips...took me about 4 returns to the site to notice this). I think this is a key differentiator of your service over the competition. On your About Us page you don't mention your photo tips either. I don't like how you don't tell me how much free storage you have on the main page...all it says is "tons of free storage". Tell me how much tons is and I probably would be more apt to sign up. I don't like how you didn't make the three boxes under the big rolling banner clickable...meaning I can't quickly pop to your storage info by clicking the big box labled "Smarter storage".
Is there anything that should be added to the site? Anything that isn't needed?
view all answers to this question
I'd add the very close approximation of how much storage is free right on the index page, i.e. 5GB free storage, over 2GB free storage, etc. I'd add the fact you have photography tips and craft ideas right on the main index page as well. The big rolling banner on the front page gets annoying. I see too many sites these days with this and it annoys me, once through is fine but it keeps repeating like a broken record.
What about the site did you find the most confusing? How would you make it clearer?
view all answers to this question
I found not being able to click on the three large boxes confusing...I totally expected to be taken to that info by clicking them. I find it confusing that you have a press link with no press releases in it. I'd remove the link until you actually have some press info in order to prevent a dead end for the user.
Would you use the website's service or buy its product(s)? Why or why not?
view all answers to this question
Well I'm kinda skeptical in using this site...here's the main reason why. I don't know who you are...meaning who are the people that make up your staff? I need to know that you have experienced staff and reputable people in the industry that are giving advice and managing my photos. Also give me confidence in your photo printers...are you using the latest and greatest super duper photo printers? In other words I need to know you aren't a fly-by-night service and that my photos are safe in your hands with the best technology backing you up.
Did you notice anything about the print quality offered vs. other sites? If so, what did you notice?
view all answers to this question
Yes. I noticed you only have one type of print quality, Lustre. What if I want Glossy? Matte? If lustre is better, why don't I need glossy or matte? I think you need to mention this in order to convince me lustre is the way to go.
What do you think the differences are between this site and other photo sites?
view all answers to this question
The main differences are the photography tips section and the craft section. The other sites like picasaweb and snapfish don't have these features (at least that I've found.) Your site layout is more crisp and fresher than other sites.
Did you look at the 'prints and gifts' section of the site? If yes, would you consider buying any of the products?
view all answers to this question
Yes. The product that caught my eye was the canvas prints. I've never seen that before and I'm interested in learning more about this product.
Did you understand what the 'photo scanning' product was? Would you purchase it?
view all answers to this question
Yes I understand the photo scanning product...however, you need to tell me more about the quality of your equipment instead of just "high resolution". Tell me why I should use your service over my home scanner? So yes I'd purchase it if you could convince me that your equipment would produce a much better image than my home scanner (visioneer9320).
